A-PHEC: Health Professionals

This course is specifically designed for health professionals including registered nurses, pharmacists & dentists, as well as allied health works such as healthcare & dental assistance who require first-aid certification and more advanced training to meet the required competencies in resuscitation. Topics include all the necessary content to gain the first-aid unit standards in New Zealand and all the required content to meet the requirements for practice as a registered nurse or pharmacist vaccinator (in accordance of IMAC), 

Course Delivery

Our courses include e-learning pre-course material and our 8 hour face-to-face training is entirely case based learning using the latest equipment to provide professional level technical skills training and advanced human patient simulators to consolidate technical skills within scenario based simulations and receive the very best debriefing, feedback and coaching to perform these skills in the real-world. 

Assessment

A variety of assessment tools are used to ensure technical skills are performed to the required standards. These include: multiple choice questionnaires, practical skills tests (measured against competency based check lists), coaching of individual performance and debriefing of team perfromance during simulated emergencies.
