The New Zealand Resuscitation Council believes that CORE Immediate represents the minimum knowledge of emergency care for health professionals. Those working in areas of high risk and those wishing to gain a broad understanding of emergency care should complete the full CORE Advanced course. The CORE Immediate text book is available directly from the New Zealand Resuscitation Council although Resuscitation Skills holds a small stock of texts available to rent for those who do not intend to purchase the text book.

Period of Certification

The CORE Immediate certificate is validated by the NZRC for one year from the date of issue. For their own purposes, employing organisations and accreditation bodies may recognise the certification for longer than this. However, because of the decline in skill-level, the NZRC does not support any recognition period longer than 3 years.
